YOUNG and old, superfit and less than fit – we’ve all got it in us to Go Gold!
The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice is launching an exciting challenge asking people to raise funds – every penny counts – to boost others with terminal and life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones.
It’s a sporting opportunity for people to set themselves a goal, have fun achieving it, and through sponsorship, help a fabulous cause.
The year-long 2021 Go Gold! project has the backing of some big-name sports stars, to be announced soon.
Everyone likes a challenge and here’s a great one. Whether you’re a runner, swimmer, golfer, cyclist or footballer – whatever your sport, whatever your age, whatever your ability… you can get involved.
Obviously, Covid-19 restrictions come into play, but sports fans are innovators who like to try something new and exciting. So you might not be able to compete in your chosen sport as usual, but let’s think differently…
You might consider climbing the equivalent height of a mountain on the stairs in your house, or about playing keepy-uppy with the kids in the garden. You may even have a tennis-themed afternoon tea.
Go Run… Go Swim…Go Smash It…it’s up to you and it’s so great that everyone can get involved, setting themselves a challenge, no matter how modest, and raising whatever they can while having loads of fun with Go Gold!
The event is expected to gather major media interest as the Go Gold! the team will be encouraging the public to dig deep and aim high all year long.
